The Story of The Gantry

Drawing on the rich artistic heritage of Hackney Wick, The Gantry is a 21st century cabinet of curiosities made up of 21 individual creative studios. These studios are set within a gigantic gridded structure on the side of The Broadcast Centre at Here East facing Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park. Built using open-source technology, each studio is machine milled and arrives in a flatpack. On site, they are slotted together like a massive jigsaw before being lifted into place.

This is the first build of its kind and we've captured the story from start to finish in video interviews with designers, coders, engineers and more.

Now building is complete, we're proud to announce our new partnership with The Trampery and reveal the plans for 'The Trampery on the Gantry'.
